    Immediate Crisis

    Maine Crisis Line: Maine’s Maine’s statewide crisis hotline. Call for mental health emergencies, suicidal thoughts, behavioral health support, or crisis intervention. Available 24/7.

    9-8-8 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (National): Free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention, and crisis resources.

    Mobile Crisis Teams (Maine): Mobile response teams are available in many counties to respond in person to youth or family mental health emergencies.

    Mental Health & Emotional Support

    NAMI Maine Helpline: Emotional support, mental health resources, and help navigating the system. Great for parents trying to support their child or themselves.

    Intentional Warm Line (Maine): For non-crisis emotional support — someone to talk to when you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or just need a listening ear.

    Support for Kids & Teens

    Maine Youth Peer Support Line: Staffed by trained youth peer support specialists. Safe and judgment-free space for youth up to age 24.

    The Trevor Project (LGBTQ+ Youth): Crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth.

    Maine Parent Federation: Support for parents of children with disabilities or special health needs. Includes IEP help, behavior guidance, and systems navigation.
